The SEB BBL Playoffs started with a nail biter in Tallinn where Kalev/Cramo defeated Barons/LMT Riga 70:67. The Estonians, who were led by Travis Reed (17 points, 16 rebounds), will take a three-point advantage to Riga where both teams meet again on Saturday. Armands Skele led Barons/LMT with 16 points.

Led by two guards A.Cepulis and V.Pauliukenas, Siauliai defeated Lietuvos Rytas in the final game of the regular season 87:80. The win brought significant changes to the SEB BBL Division I standings: Lietuvos Rytas could not claim the top spot, while Siauliai regained the fourth by bumping down ASK Riga.

A must-win situation last Sunday night was resolved at a much steeper price than ASK Riga anticipated. Riga’s starting center A.J.Bramlett broke his left wrist during a game against Siauliai. ASK Riga went into Sunday’s game needing a 9-point win in order to claim the fourth spot in the SEB BBL Division I standings. A.J.Bramlett had 7 rebounds and 8 points in ASK Riga’s win. It is believed the center broke him hand in the third quarter.

ASK Riga was able to defeat Siauliai by more than 8 points - 80:71 at home, which means they will end up fourth in Division I if Siauliai will not come up with a surprise against Lietuvos Rytas in the final game.

Kalev/Cramo was able to defeat Neptunas 90:84 on the road and keep the chances of getting to the play-offs alive. The Estonainas now have to win against Sakalai on Tuesday in order to advance to the play-offs.
