<p>Aleksandar Trifunovic will remain the head coach of the SEB BBL champion Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius for at least one more season. The club agreed to extend the contract with the Serbian specialist for the 2007/2008 season.</p><p><br />“He earned this contract. Despite the loss in the LKL Finals, he accomplished all goals set out for him”, – said Lietuvos Rytas general manager Jonas Vainauskas. “Besides, he is an improving coach.”</p><p><br />A.Trifunovic started the season as Smago Zagadin’s assistant but became team’s head coach after the Slovenian was fired in February. He guided Lietuvos Rytas to the ULEB Cup final where the team lost to Real Madrid. In the SEB BBL competition Lietuvos Rytas defeated Zalgiris Kaunas and defended its champion’s title earned a year ago. In the LKL Finals Lietuvos Rytas lost to Zalgiris in six games.<br /></p>
