Interview with D.Collins Zalgiris Kaunas finally made roster changes and the first key addition became 188 cm guard DeJuan Collins. 30-year-old player can play in both guard positions. This season he played in Brose Baskets (Germany) team and was the leader there, but the club and he decided to part ways. In 9 ULEB Cup games D.Collins averaged 14,3 points 3,4 rebounds, 1,7 steals and 4,3 assists per game. - What is the first impression changing the environment? - Zalgiris is a solid team. As I know, good players appear here and I hope that I’ll be able to fit in soon and help this team win. I want to be a valuable player. So far, I like being here in Lithuania. It’s cold, but interesting though. - If someone asks you to introduce yourself as a basketball player, what would you say?

Announced All Star Game reserves Michailas Anisimovas (Neptunas), Eurelijus Zukauskas and Arturas Jomantas (Lietuvos Rytas), Tadas Klimavicius (Siauliai), Darius Lukminas (Atletas), Tomas Gaidamavicius (Panevezys) and Gert Kullamae (Rock) were selected to the Baltic Stars team that will play the Foreign Stars team during the SEB BBL All Star Game on the February 3rd in Kaunas. These players will join team‘s starting five of Raitis Grafs (ASK Riga), Martin Muursepp (Rock), Jonas Maciulis and Mantas Kalnietis (Zalgiris), Sandis Valters (ASK Riga) that was announced last week. Rimantas Grigas (Zalgiris) and Ramunas Butautas (ASK Riga) will coach Baltic Stars team. The Foreign Stars team that will be coached by Zmago Sagadin (Lietuvos Rytas) and Veselin Matic (Kalev/Cramo) and features the starting five of Tanoka Beard (Zalgiris), J.P.Batista (Lietuvos Rytas), Darlon Johnson (Ventspils), Marcelo Machado (Zalgiris) and Curtis Millage (ASK Riga) will have Travis Reed (Kalev/Cramo), A.J.Bramlett (ASK Riga), Hanno Mottola and Kirk Penney (Zalgiris), Ronald Dorsey (Neptunas), Eddie Shannon and Justin Love (Ventspils). Darlon Johnson and Marcelo Machado replaced Matthew Nielsen (Lietuvos Rytas) and Marko Popovic (Zalgiris) respectively in the starting five. M.Nielsen and M.Popovic were selected by the fans to start but will not participate in the game due to injuries.

On the Feburary 3rd Mantas Kalnietis (Zalgiris), Darius Pakamanis (Lietuvos Rytas), Aivaras Kiausas (Sakalai), Ronald Dorsey (Neptunas), Paulius Pociuipa (Panevezys), Andrius Cizikas (Atletas), Curtis Millage (ASK Riga) and Kristjan Kangur (Kalev/Cramo) will compete for the Slam Dunk title. The selections were made based on the recommendations of club representatives.
