Interview with J.Sinica Sakalai Vilnius came back on the winning track. 4 wins in a row is pretty solid for this team. One of the most consistent players during that stretch was 203 cm forward Justas Sinica. 21-year-old player has been averaging over 14 points and his shooting touch from behind the arc was excellent – 50 %. As for the season, he averaged 6.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in the SEB BBL. - Your team has won 4 consecutive games including victories against such teams like Neptunas, Nevezis and Kalev/Cramo. Can we say that Sakalai revived? - We were in kind of a downfall, but when 3 victories in a row came up, we felt that we’re on the rise. I think that right now we’re playing much better than before. Also, new coach has brought the new strategy and we can see the results. - A year before no one really noticed you, but during this winning stretch you were really noticeable. Do you feel that you perform much better?

Interview with V.Stimac 19-year-old Vladimir Stimac spent last season in Zalgiris’ youth team and was able to make it to a whole new level as he joined the main squad of Zalgiris. After not getting valuable minutes in the Lithuanian powerhouse, he decided to join Lacplesa Alus club, which is being coached by a former Zalgiris coach Ainars Bagatskis. The young Serbian center made a significant impact on his new team. Valmiera won 6 games out of 7 along with V.Stimac and has pretty good chances to end up even second in the SEB BBL Division II. Youngster’s efforts and spectacular performance in every single game were not overlooked. He got wide recognition for his great play on February as he was named the MVP of the month. During this month V.Stimac was averaging 19.8 points, 12 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. - How do you feel playing already for the third team this season? - The atmosphere in my current team is similar of what was in Zalgiris. Actually in both places everything was fine. Right here it’s just different. Lacplesa Alus is the team that has really good guys. They support each other and do everything to help their team win. I’m pleased that I play for Valmiera, because coach Bagatskis relies on me. He gives me an opportunity to play a lot.

Interview with R.Stelmahers The main playmaker of Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius club, a 32-year-old Roberts Stelmahers is experiencing injury issues this season. 190 cm guard was having leg problems, but as the season is going to an end, R.Stelmahers helps his team to win games. The Latvian guard appeared in 11 SEB BBL games and is averaging 7.5 points along with 3.9 assists per game. - The last week was very important and emotional for your team, but most importantly – victorious. What helped to stay focused? - When you win the game, it looks like everything is fine. I think that with the arrival of the new coach we became more motivated and self-confident. After the first quarterfinal game in France we realized that our position was very tough. Our team really wanted to continue battles in ULEB cup, so we stepped on the court concentrated. We prepared for both games including SEB BBL match against Zalgiris. I wouldn’t say that only success determined our victory. Our team was just stronger that day. Basketball is the sport in which sometimes you play better and sometimes not. We have a good team and both wins were extremely important. - Was it the first time you’ve ever seen such a chaos on the court in Kaunas?

Interview with T.Gaidamavicius 24-year-old Tomas Gaidamavicius plays his third consecutive season in Panevezys club. The current season is the most successful for him during all of his career. 191 cm guard is averaging 17.1 points 4.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the SEB BBL. T.Gaidamavicius is the leader of Panevezys and also places the third in the league in scoring. - You guys recently did upset Rock. Were you expecting to win against Division II leaders on road? - We want to win every game. When Panevezys came up victorious agains the Estonians, I couldn’t play as I’m ill right now. Our team played very well, while Rock was not able to knock down shots. We showed that despite worse record we’re still good team. This victory brings some optimism and we’ll try to win more games in this league. - However, the second part of the season is not that successful as the first one. Why?
