Interview with D.Lukminas
On Tuesday (10-18) Atletas Kaunas reached their first win of the season by defeating Rock Tartu team. Darius Lukminas was the main figure on the court. 38-year-old veteran guard totally lifted his team up with 32 points (6/11 three-pointers) and 7 assists.

Darius, your successful performance let Atletas celebrate the first win. How could you explain your magnificent performance?

- Not only I played well, but also the rest of the team. We were very focused on this game, did a good job after a tough loss against Lietuvos Rytas, Nevezis and finally got a victory. We don't have a great team, our bench is weak, but when you give all that you can, something good happens. Yesterday our youth surprised a lot. Linas Juknevicius, Valdas Dabkus and Mantas Simonavicius played well. As for me, I realized that bigger contribution was needed in order to snatch a win.

Don't you think that youth should carry this team, not veterans?

- It is how it is. They don't have enough trust in themselves yet and that does not let to unfold all the bright sides of their game. I've also experienced some troubles when I joined the team. There were games when I scored just in single digits. Now I settled in and everything goes well.

Interview with the Player of the Week - S.Babrauskas
Steponas Babrauskas of ASK Riga was probably the main figure on the courts in SEB BBL first week. The guard talked about his performance and his club perspectives as well.

- Did you expect to become a player of the week?

- Definitely not, I care about team's results, of course it's nice when good performance is evalued. I just played the way I always do and absolutely did not pay attention to how many points I had. We got a win and that's all that mattered.

- Are you already in an optimal playing shape?

- My shape is quite good, but I wouldn't say it's the best. I feels okay though.

SEB BBL - where the action is.
With simultaneous press conferences held on Thursday in all three capitals of Baltic States ?€“ Vilnius, Riga and Tallinn ?€“ SEB Baltic Basketball League introduced its third basketball season. The third season will hopefully distinguish with more equally matched games, great individual performances and an off-court entertainment program.

During the press conference held in Tallinn league's member of board Mr. Peep Aaviksoo signed a contract with SEB BBL silver sponsors Toyota Baltic and Alexela. As Toyota Baltic chief executive officer Mr. Jouko Matinen very appositely said, ?€?region's most successful car seller needs to support region's highest level ballgame!?€?

Riga's event included the tasting of the SEB BBL decorated cake. Both SEB Unibanka president Mr. Viesturs Neimanis and SEB BBL head of the board Mr. Ojars Kehris acknowledged that it was delicious and hoped that the upcoming season would bring similar sensations.

Members of the SEB BBL board Mr. Sarunas Kliokys and Mr. Gediminas Navikauskas, president of Basketball Federation of Lithuania Mr. Vladas Garastas and SEB BBL Executive Director Mr. Mindaugas Balciunas participated in a press conference held in Vilnius.
