The game from the begining was close and none of the teams got a lead larger than a few points. It changed at the end of the first quarter when Jurevicus and Kosuskins made their chances bringing their team a nice lead before second quarter, 26:18.

Alytus were able to equal the score in the secon quarter because home team wsa not able to score in the first two minutes of the quarter. Both teams played pretty similar, slow basketball till the half time, 40:40.

Starting second half nothing had changed. Game was still close and none of the teams wanted to take any risk. At that point it was clear that it would be a close finish today. Score before last quarter, 55:55.

Last quarter was started better by Liepajas Lauvas and they managed to go even eight points ahead, 67:59. Alytus showed some character and till 19 seconds on the clock got ahead, 74:76. When there were 8 seconds on the clock, scoreboard showed 78:78. At this point Alytus put their trust in Kazevicus who did not let his team down, 78:80.
