It was close from the very beginning. In first few minutes teams made their own three pointer contest, in which both succeeded, after three pointer by Budzinauskas score was tied 10:10 and five minutes more to play in first quarter. Then Vef team improved in offensive end but just a minute later as a cold shower came slam dunk by Gibson. First quarter ended with a little advantage for home team 24:22.

Beginning of second quarter was better for guest team because after 4 minutes of play in the quarter they went in a lead 29:30. Tatarunas led his team further in the lead and only thing home team could do against it was two goals by Strupovics from behind the arc. Score at half time 38:43.

Nothing had changed after the break and after a spectacular dunk by Budzinauskas Techasas team went in a double digit lead, 40:51. In the time left on the clock VEF team managed to eqal the game but they could not get any closer. Score before fourth quarter 48:58 and it looked pretty bad for VEF team.

From the beginning of fourth quarter Gulbis and Strupovics had understood that they must take things in their hands, and they did. They shoved great accuracy from long range and after Strupovics three pointer score on the scoreboard was equal 63:63. Then Strupovics added another triple and VEF was back in the lead. Of course, Techasas team did not give up and score with a minute to play was 70:70. In the last minute both teams had great chances in taking the win but they were all unsuccessful bringing the game into overtime.

In the overtime VEF team shoved good accuracy in free throws and Techasas had no chance in taking this one. Score at the final whistle 82:74.
