VEF Riga easily overcame Sudava/Arvi 83:66. Gumenyuk and Shelekto did not hesitate to add 20 points each.

Thanks to their huge advantage in the paint, VEF Riga swiftly got in the front in the beginning of the first quarter. Sheleketo and Patmalnieks finished their offenses, and the score after the first quarter was already 26:10 in VEF Riga favour. This only got worse in the second quarter. With the sole exception of Cerneckis, Sudava/Arvi could not offer anything and the score in the middle of the second quarter was 44:17. The score before the big break looked downright ridiculous 55:18.

Although VEF Riga started to use more of their bench, the general pattern of the match-up remained the same. Gulbis and Sheleketo continued contributing, and the difference in the score continued to look ugly. The end of the third quarter 70:37. Although Sudava/Arvi diminished the difference in the score in the final quarter, this does not show anything about the true nature of the game. VEF Riga finally could celebrate a well-earned victory 83:66.
