Techasas Panevezys after a very close battle appeared victorious against Sakalai Vilnius on the road 89:88 and found themselves at the top of the standings.

It was a very close and intense ball game in which the winning team changed numerous times. From early on Sakalai played better on bot hends of the floor and got 11:1 lead. However, Panevezys quickly fused it and cut the deficit to 1 points - 22:23. Later on in this ball game neither team could get a solid advantage and it was up untill the crunch time came.

More than 2 minutes left in a game the score was tied at 85:85. Sakalai was able to overbalance it to their favour (88:87), but Mike Smith scored 2 points and it appeared to be enough as Sakalai missed important shots and turned the ball over throwing a pretty good opportunity to win the game.

Paulius Staskunas collected 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead Techasas, Phillip Williams added 16. Rolandas Matulis scored 22 (7 rebs.) for Sakalai.
