VEF Riga dealt with Liepajas Lauvas 94:79, Nevezis Dealt with Techasas 96:90, and we are eagerly waiting for the final!

In the first game, Nevezis faced Techasas in an eye-to-eye battle. Techasas had a better start of the contest. After the first quarter, the score was already 18:29 in their favour. Even though Nevezis were able to close up, Techasas did not hesitate to increase the lead. After the first half, they lead 38:54. Nevezis started the next half better, diminishing the difference on the scoreboard to mere three points. Although they threatened Techasas positions, the gap did not decrease in the third quarter 62:65. The battle continued, and both rivals matched up fairly equally. Even though in the end Viskontas had a chance to ensure a win, he made only one of his two free throws, and the game extended to overtime 81:81. The game was clear from that point. Nevezis had a huge momentum, and banked it by winning the game 96:90.

The second game was a match-up between VEF Riga and Liepajas Lauvas, two Latvian teams. The game took off in an unbelievably equal manner. Although Pusaudzis did not think twice to add points for his team, VEF Riga also were dangerous offensively. The first quarter came to an end 22:22. Liepajas Lauvas ran off on a 7-0 break in the beginning of the second quarter. Gulbis and Jeromanovs managed to slow them down a bit. 37:42 before the big break. The balance changed soon. Shelekto and Zakis pulled off two massive dunks, in this way acquiring some momentum on their side. VEF got in the front, and did not leave this position in the third quarter 63:59. VEF Riga started the deciding quarter with a 11-2 run. Although it seemed as a perfect request of a win, Liepajas Lauvas managed to come back with some great clutch performance by Jurevicus. However, even as they closed up to minus four, VEF Riga were not in a mood to give away the win. The final score 94:79.
