In a nervous end of the game ASK Riga reached a win against Valmiera. The final result of the game was 85:81 (16:29, 25:9, 18:24, 26:19).

Today Grafs was not playing for the side of ASK Riga. It meant that young Mednis had a chance to start the game. First points for ASK Riga was scored exactly by him after a good pass made by Helmanis. Vitols took a lead on hisshoulders and ASK Riga got a lead of 7:2. Then Valmiera started to play more often under the basket and this made huge problems for ASK Riga. Valmiera took over the lead and made the result 9:18 in their favour. Next on Valmiera continued to play on their tallest guys and controlled the game. In the final second of this quarter Bankevics delivered a three pointer making the result critical for ASK Riga 16:29.

In the second quarter of the game ASK Riga made a run of 7:0 and the result was 23:29. Further on Valmiera increased their lead back to ten points 23:33 but then again ASK answered with the same making it 28:33. In the next episodes already ASK was the team which controlled the game and when it was left one minute to play in this quarter ASK Riga took over the lead 39:38. Further on ASK Riga increased this lead till plus 3 points 41:38.

After the half-time ASK Riga continued to dominate as they made the result look like 49:43. But then it was time for Valmiera to show their strength as they made a run of 0:14. The main reason for such a play was Bankevics who was unstoppable from beyond the line. At this moment the result was 53:60 in the favour of team Valmiera. However, till the end of the quarter ASK Riga managed to decrease the lead of Valmiera. It was 59:62 before the final ten minutes.

Valmiera started the final quarter with increasing their lead once again as Cavars scored 5 points in a row making it 59:67. Next on Helmanis and Bankevics exchanged three pointers but Clark added a jump shot. Then Mazutis and Bertans took the game on them and with a help of free-throws came as close as 70:74. Next on Runkauskas nailed two three-pointers for ASK Riga and it was equal 76:76. Still less than 4 minutes to go. In the final minutes of the game again Bertans and Mazutis were the main players on the field who ensured a victory for ASK Riga 85:81.
