Straight on, Rock seemed to be prepared. After Tanel Tein's three pointer, that evened the score -5:5- Rock made a quick, and as the following game showed, crucial 18-2 run and basically never looked back. Tartu won the first quarter 26:15. Only thing that bothered Rock was Doronin's three fouls.

Tanoka Beard's great offence put Tartu ahead 29:18. But Kalev finally woke up. Linehan and Keerles reduced the lead quickly to seven. Two minutes to play in the second quarter, Kangur's three pointer brought Kalev to as close as three. But Rock was still able to take a slim half-break lead - 39:34. Tanoka had already 13 points, Linehan 10. Doronin had already 4 personal fouls.

Tartu kept playing well. Doronin, Tsintsadze and a 2+1 game from Tanel Talts quickly put Rock ahead by twelve points. With five minutes to play in the thrird, Doronin committed his fifth foul. Rock still had the lead - 53:41. After Tsintsadze sprained his acchilles, Kalev made it possible to reduce the lead to five. But Sanikidze helped to close the quarter out - 61:52. Tartu was in controll of the game.

During the first minute of the final quarter, Beard committed also his fifth. Rock had lost already to starting five players. Quickly, behind Nate Fox, Rock's lead decreased to six. But Sanikidze's two free throws built the lead to nine. Still, Kalev came back and with three minutes to play, Fox and Linehan baskets reduced Tartu's lead to only two points. But again Sanikidze's four straight points helped Tartu to build the lead 65:71. With 24 second to play Kangur hit a three pointer and Kalev was trailing only by three. After a time out Kalev made a foul to Tsintsadze, who made one of the two free throws, and put Tartu ahead by four. Tartu finally won 76:70.

Sanikidze had 19 points and 6 rebounds. Tsintsadze had 14, Beard 14. Linehan had a great all-around game on Kalev's behalf with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Nate Fox had 17 points.
