It was up-and-down battle in Kedainiai, but Kalev/Cramo appeared better on crunch time and reached the fourth victory of the season on the road over local Nevezis 74:72.
Equal battle prevailed early in the first quarter and after more than 4 minutes of play Valdas Dabkus made a two-pointer to make the score even at 7:7. 22 seconds left in the first period Josh Pace scored a jumper and his team was up by 7 points - 20:13. The quarter was finished 20:15 led by Kalev/Cramo.
Midway through the second period Gintaras Leonavicius outbalanced the result in his team favour - 26:25. Zydrunas Stankus made two shots at the charity stripe and made the score tied at 31:31 just before the halftime.
In the beginning of the third quarter Nevezis managed to make a 9:0 run and the Lithuanians were up 45:36. A couple of minutes later G.Leonacivius made a shot behind the arc nad his team built a double-digit advantage for the first time in this game - 51:40. Nevezis showcased good execution on the offensive end of the floor and finished this period leading 54:46.
In the fourth Kalev/Cramo gradually came back in a game and closed the gap to 5 points after J.Pace made a lay-up. 2 minutes left in this contest Kevin Lyde decreased the difference to 1 point - 65:66. Just one minute to go in a game Nate Fox connected a huge three-pointer to tie the score at 70:70. Benas Veikalas scored 2 points at the stripe, but the Estonians answered with 4 straight points. Povilas Sakinis had a chance to steal the victory, but his shot behind the arc went out of mark.
K.Lyde was a beast for the winners as he nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds, Nate Fox added 20 points, 6 boards and 4 assists. Mindaugas Sakalauskas scored 17 (5 rebs.) for Nevezis, B.Veikalas added 15.
