Lietuvos Rytas won the first Presidents Cup tournament as they beat Barons/LMT 80:78 (28:20, 50:45, 64:63, 80:78).

Gecevicius opened the result of the game with the jump-shot. Berzins answered with a three-pointer for Barons . Sinica realized both free-throws and Anisimovas added lay-up. Gecevicius again made a jump-shot and the result was 8:3 Rytas leading the game. Justas Sinica from beyond the arc scored and Karlis Muiznieks took time out for Barons. Milisavljevic made a three-pointer and 13:3 for Rytas. Henning finally made a lay-up for Barons. Anisimovas realized a jump-shot for Rytas. Gecevicius made two free-throws. Cukinas made a three-pointer for Barons. Milisavljevic on the other side realized both free-throws. Henning however made only one free-throw. Anisimovas scored both free-throws for Rytas. Barons already had seven team fouls when four minutes left to play in the first quarter. Henning’s lay-up made the result 21:11. Then Brazdauskas realized fast jump-shot,however Vaikulis and Cukinas made two-pointers for Barons. Babrauskas realized one of two free-throws. Bright shot far three-pointer and did not miss. Gecevicius scored three-pointer and realized two free-throws on the next attack. Berzins realized both free-throws and made the result 28:20. Gecevicius had already scored 10 points in the first quarter. Barons received 9 fouls in the first quarter.

Second quarter starts with the missed shots from both teams and then Babrauskas realized a shot from beyond the arc, however Gustas managed to answer with the same 31:23. Then Gustas scored three-pointer again and Rytas head coach Antanas Sireika asked for a time-out. Anisimovas was back and made jump-shot with a foul but did not realized the free-throw. On the other side of the field Bright made a three-pointer but Anisimovas answered with a two-pointer 35:29. Cukinas made a jump-shot for Barons, Rytas missed their shot and Berzins added one more three-pointer for Barons. Then Bright continued Barons offence from the three-point line and the score is already 35:37 Barons winning the game. Rytas turnover and Barons got one more chance but Berzins missed the shot. Gecevicius scored a three-pointer but Berzins answered with a two-pointer 38:39. Anisimovas was unstoppable again and realized jump-shot. Kravcenko continued three-point shooting contest and added one from beyond the arc 40:42. Barons had already realized 8 three-pointers. Sinica scored three out of three free-throws. Gecevicius added three-pointer and it was 46:42. Milisavljevic realized two free-throws. Bright answered with a three-pointer, however Milisavljevic realized a jump-shot setting the final result of the first half 50:45 for Rytas. Team Barons realized 10 out of 17 three-point shots in the first twenty minutes. Gecevicius scored 16 points for Rytas but Bright realized 4 out of 4 three-pointers in the first half.

Babrauskas and Henning exchanged jump-shots in the beginning of the second half. Bright realized jump-shot and Anisimovas answered with the same 54:49. Zavackas realized a fast lay-up after Barons turnover. Bright realized three-pointer again and it was 56:52. Gecevicius scored a fast three-pointer. Barzins jump-shot made it 59:54. Donatas Zavackas added two more points for Rytas but Berzins answered with the same on the other side of the field. Sinica made one free-throw, however Gustas scored another three-pointer for Barons and made the result 62:59. After Kravcenko turnover Zavackas realized a fast counterattack. Then Kravcenko answered with a fast lay-up 64:61. Effective slam dunk by Henning in the last second of the quarter received tremendous applause by spectators. Result before the final 10 minutes was 64:63 Rytas leading the game.

Cukinas opened the result in the fourth quarter by a lay-up. Milisavljevic realized jump-shot for Rytas and Henning answered with the same for Barons 66:67. Henning added another one jumper. Milisavljevic realized jumper for Rytas. Anisimovas scored a lay-up 70:69. Time out for Barons. Milisavljevic shot from beyond the arc and Berzins answered with the same on the other side of the field 73:72. Jumper for Rytas then Gecevicius realized all three free-throws and the result is 78:72. Henning made both free-throws. Adomaitis realized both free-throws. Henning run in the fast counterattack and made a lay-up 78:78. Time out for Rytas. After the time-out Babrauskas made a lay-up. Then both teams exchanged missed shots and turnovers. Less than a minute left Rytas still led the game 80:78. When 27 seconds were left Barons asked for a time-out. Then Barons missed their chance as Bright’s shot did not reached the goal, Gustas shot was blocked and Bright’s one more three pointer missed the target. Rytas won the game 80:78.
