In this game it was a debut for Sandis Valters on the side of VEF Riga. It was his first game in this season after an injury. The game was opened by Stalbergs who made a three point move and got a lead for VEF Riga 3:0. However Jurevicus on the side of Ventspils answered with a three point shot. In the next episodes with the help of Renfroe and Selakovs VEF Riga got a lead of 10:5. But it was not for a long time as Ventspils made a run of 0:11 and came back in the game. Bertans, Zakis and Jurevicus were players who scored points during this run. Further on Ventspils got a lead of 12:20 but then it was time for team VEF Riga to show the class as they equalized the result 20:20. The first quarter in which were scored very many points ended up with the result 27:29 in the favour of team VEF Riga.

At the beginning of the second quarter VEF Riga took over the lead 31:29. However further on Ventspils played more successfully and led the game 33:40. It was still more than four minutes to play in this quarter. But once more in this game VEF Riga organized a come back as Renfroe was the main factor for it. A little bit more than two minutes to play and the result is equal. Further on the game equalized and both teams exchanged the shots. However the end of the first half was played better by Ventspils and the result after two quarters was 45:48.

After the big break Jurevicus scored a jump shot but Valters on the other side of the field realized a shot from beyond the line and the result was 48:50. When the result was 48:52 Pettway received the fifth foul and left the field. In the next episodes Renfroe got his fourth foul and was substituted by Bankevics. In the next episodes VEF Riga diminished the lead of Ventspils and made the result 54:56. In the next episode Aleksejevs realized a three pointer and VEF Riga was already leading the game 57:56. However then Ventspils organized a run of 0:9 and Ventspils already in front 57:65 and biggest lead in the game for team Ventspils. In the final episodes of the third quarter Valters missed a fast three-pointer but Kalve was able to answer with a precise shot from beyond the line in the last second of this quarter and kept a six point lead for Ventspils 62:68.

The fourth quarter started with an offence from the side of VEF Riga as they gradually decreased Ventspils lead and regained the lead 76:74. Ventspils was forced to take a time out after these moments. Then Blaus scored a jumper and once more equalized the game 76:76. Next on both teams exchanged the shots making the result 78:78. Then Selakovs received and offensive foul and it was his fifth foul. Further on Blaus and Jurevics scored for Ventspils and they were leading the game 78:82. But then Jurevicus as well got his fifth foul and left the field. Before the final two minutes the result was 84:86 and it promised an intrigue at the end of the game and it was. Ventspils kept a lead of four points but then four seconds before the final whistle Stalbergs realized a three point shot and made the result 91:92. It was a fast foul and two free-throws for Kalve. VEF asked for a time-out. Kalve realized both free-throws but Valters missed a three pointer and the final result was 91:94 Ventspils celebrating the victory.
