Rock started the game with a 11:2 run and was leading in the middle of the quarter 14:7. Two minutes later Janar Talts and Scott Morrison both dunked the ball and the score was already 22:7. And Rock's dominance grew, as they finally were able to end the quarter with a 17:7 run and were ahead by 19.
The second quarter started scrappy from both sides, as neither team allowed more than two points in the first three minutes. Finally, some shots started to fall. With six minutes to go, Rock was ahead 37:19 and Talts had already 14 points. Both teams were getting baskets the rest of the quarter. Valmiera was in trouble, as they were heading to the last period, trailing 74:50.
Still, Valmiera was not done. They started the last quarter with three straight threes and were down 77:59 with 8 minutes to go. But they simply could not stop Rock getting to the free-throw line. With 6 minutes to go Valmiera made already their fifth three-pointer in the quarter, but were still down by 17. And after few made free-throws and another three-pointer the deficit was only 11. With 3 minutes to go, another three from Bedritis made it 86:76. But that was it. Valmiera ran out of steem and Rock won the game 94:80.
Janar Talts was the leading scorer of the game with 21 points, but played only 24 minutes. Timo Eichfuss had 14, Abernethy 13, Tein 11, Allingu 10 and Kitsing 9 points. Rock shot 72 percent from two-point range and connected 7 three-pointers (of 15).
