Today, on September the 22^nd Baltic Basketball League 2009/2010 season has been presented in Vilnius, “Reval Lietuva” hotel. BBL Main members of the league’s board shared their thoughts about the upcoming season and answered questions from the press.

Head of the board Sarunas Kliokys  informed about the opening of the new season event ”BBL Cup” which will take place on September 25^th and 26^th in Kaunas in which will participate: champion of  Baltic basketball league and Lithuania – ”Lietuvos Rytas” (Vilnius), winner of Latvian basketball league – ”Ventspils”, champion of Estonia – "Kalev/Cramo  and vice-champion of  BBL league – ”Žalgiris”

BBL director Romualdas Brazauskas was hopeful that BBL Cup games will going to be very interesting and that it will attract many spectators.

S.Kliokys also spoke about new season, wich will start with same structure  - BBL Elite Division (10 basketball clubs from the Baltic States) and  the Challenge Cup tournament (15 teams from the Baltic States, for the most part - from Lithuania).

R.Brazauskas informed, what BBL Final4 will come on April 23^th and 24^th, but without confirmed arena. "Arena will be accepted later, when all participants will be clear". 

R.Brazauskas said, what  BBL have new  contract with VIASAT Sport Baltic television. "There will be television translations not only for lithuanians, but also for estonians and latvians.  More BBL fans will be able to see BBL game, I think it is very big achievement".

BBL director confirmed, what BBL  in this moment lack of general sponsor and  that's way is dificult to say about prize fond of the league. R.Brazauskas also told, what BBL still  working on this. "We are still in progress!"
