Zalgiris Kaunas club today had a great shooting game over VEF Riga and that allowed Lithuanian team outclass the visitors from Latvia 98:86 (24:13, 23:22, 31:25, 20:26) and got their 4'th win.

Zalgiris opened the ball game with Kalnietis, Begic and Salenga dunks. Kaunas team has made  a great spurt, but VEF, with Mazeika help, gradually came back in this contest by penetrating to the basket and forcing a contact. The first quarter was finished 24:13   by Zalgiris.

Zalgiris regained the lead in double digits after Brown converted a  9 points. Kaunas team dictated the rules of the game and did not allow the opponents to diminish the difference in the result. Players went to the locker-rooms as the scoreboard showed diferent numbers - 47:35 by Zalgiris.

In the second part of the game Zalgiris  remained  a double digit lead and did not allow VEF to bring the intrigue in this contest (78:60 after third quarter). The guests were able to cut their deficit to 12 points, but it was pretty much it in this game.
