Zalgiris Kaunas showcased excellent basketball at home and won against the visitors from Estonia –“Kalev/Cramo” team 102:51.

This game started slowly, both teams could earn points. After Travis Watson and Zygimantas Janavicius shots Zalgiris was in front with result 5:3. Later Zalgiris reached 9 points without answer and gained double-digit advantage – 14:3. After this run the guests asked minute break. After break Estonians played a little better in offensive, but Zalgiris, with good Watson performance, perfectly controlled the game. After first 10 minutes Kaunas team was stronger - 22:8.

However, in the second quarter the situation hasn’t changed. The hosts made a run again:  after Marcus Brown and Mirza Begic shots  Zalgiris was in front already by 21 points (39:18).  It was impossible to score a bucket for Kalev/Cramo  and in total they scored just 10 points during this period. As a result Zalgiris built a monstrous 29 points lead at the half - 47:18.

After the halftime Zalgiris did not let the convincing victory out of reach and simply saved its huge advantage.  Some of the deeper bench players like Adas Juskevicius, Povilas Butkevicius and Siim Sander Vene had an opportunity to showcase their abilities. After 5 minutes in the third quarter Zalgiris had 40 (!) points advantage -  65:25. Until the end of this quarter “Kalev/Cramo” was just a slightly closer - 74:38.

Poor field goal percentage, some mistakes didn't allow Kalev/Cramo to come back in this game and Zalgiris crushed them with ease and with pleasure.
