Ventspils  was able to hold a lead for throughout the match  and the Latvians celebrated victory against Nevezis with the result 73:64. It was their 10'th of the season.

The guests opened a game a bit better and had a lead for the most part of the first quarter. More than 4 minutes left to play in this period Strelnieks scored a two-pointer and result was 11:10 up by Ventspils. After the first quarter it was 1 point game - 18:19 up by the guests.

In the beginning of the second quarter team Ventspils was on fire, so, the effort by Ventspils in the second period outweighed the score.

4 minutes left until the halftime L.Blaus nailed a two-pointer and the score became 20:32 up by Ventspils. Later Nevezis answered with 4 points without the answer. But J.Strelniek added another two-pointer for Ventspils and the result was 34:27. L.Blaus made an easy lay-up (27:36, 1min.). However till the end of the second quarter Nevezis decreased the lead of Ventspils and players went to the locker-rooms as the guests led 29:36.

After the half-time Ventspils  continued to increase their lead as they made a run of 6:0 making the result 40:33.  Later on J.Strelnieks nailed a three-pointer and Ventspils recovered double-digit advantage 33:43.  But Nevezis did not resist and continued to pressure the ball. Things got tighter when Nevezis was able to reduce the deficit to 8 points. When two minutes was left, E.Dimsa scored a two-pointer and the result was 39:47. But Ventspils executed things the right way. After three periods it was 40:54 up by the guests.

In the final ten minutes Nevezis needed to come back, however the beginning of the fourth quarter looked like that as Ventspils did not let to decrease the difference in the result. After D.Bertans three-pointer it was 40:57. Further on Ventspils  controlled the game and two minutes before the end of the fourth quarter it was still plus 10 points  57:67. In the final two minutes Nevezis was not able to break the way of the game and Ventspils won the whole match with the result  73:64.
