Author: J.Filippov

Kalev's depressing game and lack of effort continued today in Saku Suurhall, as they fell to Lietuvas Rytas. Rytas shot 69% from the field and won the game easily 105:75. Eight players from Lithuanian team scored at least 8 points

The first minutes of the game were competitive. With four minutes played, Rytas was leading 15:10. But after Kalev's time-out, the home team quickly fought back, and soon it was a tie game - 19:19. Still, Rytas kept playing as usual and won the first 27:21.

In the second quarter Kalev basically stopped playing. In the middle of the quarter, Rytas was already ahead 41:34. And a 13-2 run from the visitors murdered all the existing excitement of the game. Rytas won the first half 52:39. Bjelica had already 11 points, Gecevicius 9 and Valanciunas 8. Kalev's only players, who were showing any effort, were Akognon with 12. Keerles and Fisher had 8.

In the third, Kalev's awful game continued. Rytas started the second half with a 13-3 run and were leading already by 23 and then held 20+ lead until the end of the period.

The fourth quarter was even more horrific than the first three. Rytas was playing beautiful. Kalev on the other hand didn't play at all. Rytas won easily 105:75.

Rytas's best was Bjelica with 20 points. Gecevicius had 17 points. 6 other players had at least 8 points and every player in Rytas lineup scored.

Josh Akognon was the game's leading scorer with 22. Charron Fisher had 16 and 9 boards.

Rytas was amazing inside the arc, as they connected 75 percent of their shots. And hit almost by 60 percent from three.

Kalev is now in the 7th place, Rytas still first, if you look at the percentage.
