After an equal game in the first quarter Ventspils started to dominate. At some points of the game there was even more than 30 points lead for the hosts but the final result was 99:71 (34:31, 23:11, 27:16, 15:13).

The first quarter of the game was played under the sign of run and shoot basketball as defence was not the priority for both of the teams. After three minutes of playing the result was equal 7:7. Both teams continued to put an emphasis on fast shooting and in the middle of the quarter the result still equal 14:14. Next on nothing changed and both teams continued to be on fire. Two minutes before the end of the first quarter it was 26:26. Final minutes of this quarter was played better by team Ventspils as they got a small lead 34:31. Kojenets for Liepajas Lauvas had scored already 16 points.

In the second quarter Liepajas Lauvas set the result in balance 34:34. Next on Ventspils kept a small lead but then again Liepajas Lauvas made the result equal 42:42. But that was it from the side of Liepajas Lauvas as they did not score in the first half of the game. But Ventspils on the contrary continued to be active in offence and scored 15 points in a row. J.Strelnieks, Kedzo and Bertans were the ones who organized this run. Thus Ventspils finished the first half of the game with a lead of 57:42.

After the big break Liepajas Lauvas with the help of Kisielius made the result 60:46 but then again Ventspils organized a run. This time it was 13:0. The result at this moment was already 73:46. It looked like the winner was clear. Next on Ventspils controlled the game and even increased their lead till plus 31 point making the result 82:51. But the end of the third quarter was played under the sign of Liepajas Lauvas as the result before the final ten minutes was 84:58.

The final quarter started with Liepajas Lauvas offence and the result was 84:64. But then again Ventspils took the game in their hands and increased their lead till plus 27. At the end it was just a formality for both teams and the game ended up with the result 99:71.
