Siauliai  club once again showcased excellent basketball, this time defeating Liepajas Lauvas 108:84 at home. That was the 11’th  win for the Lithuanian team which took the 4th place in the  Elite division.

Siauliai: D.Gailius 27, M.Kuzminskas 23 (8 rebs.), V.Sarakauskas 19, D.Low 13 (8 rebs.)

Liepajas Lauvas: L.Kisielius 31, J.Patmalnieks 13, E.Tukiss 9.

The hosts opened the ball game with better and controlled the situation in the court. Siauliai  increased the gap between teams and got a 6 points  advantage as the first quarter was finished 28:22.

In the second period Lithuanian team not only remained its lead, but also increased it.  Siauliai organized a run 10-0 . Midway through this quarter Marius Prekevicius  scored a nice-looking jumper and the score was 38:22  up by the hosts.

Later on Siauliai  showed good basketball, especially in the offense,  as they was in front  for all time. After the first half the result was 62:43 up by Siauliai.

However, things did not change substantially in the second half of this ball game.  The Lithuanians got the initiative for the most time of the third and fourth quarter. They did not allow Lauvas to outscore them and controlled the tempo on full effect.  Deivydas Gailius, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Vytautas Sarakauskas and  Derrick Low led Siauliai to the victory. Together they scored 83  of the 108 points.
