In MasterCard BBL tournament the Regular season has ended and the Play-Off participants are known. The final team qualifying for the Play-Offs was VEF Riga. Alex Renfroe has been one of the team leaders for the whole regular season and in the final games he continued the tradition of being the key player. Therefore it is not a big surprise that the administration of the MasterCard BBL has nominated him as the MVP of the Regular season.
Here are some of the efforts Renfroe made during the season. He entered top scorers list as the seventh by scoring 15,2 points on average per game. Being a guard VEF Riga player went into the list of best rebound collectors as the fifth with impressive 7,4 rebounds per game. Moving on Renfroe was the second best at such category as steals by stealing 2,1 balls per game. And finally Alex demonstrated his ability to play in the team interests as he was the first in the list of best playmakers with 7,1 assists per game.
Renfroe showed his skills of being a precise scorer as well entering the overall list of best two point field goal shooters in the eighth place with 56,2% precision. VEF Riga player scored the highest efficiency of 21,7 points among all the league players thus entering the number one spot in MasterCard BBL. Alex Renfroe was the leader of Elite Division in double-doubles during the whole season as he made 7 of them. What is even more impressive – he was the only player in the league managing to do triple double, besides it happened two times – against Liepajas Lauvas and Nevezis.
Looking at the single game highs and particularly assists category Alex Renfroe took all the top 3 spots by making 13 assists against team Zalgiris and two times making 12 assists against team Nevezis. He shared number one place with Daviin Davis (Valmiera) in steals category as they both stole the ball 6 times in one single game. Renfroe did it against Tartu Rock. Moreover VEF player took the second position in efficiency coefficient category by collecting 41 efficiency point in a single game against Siauliai.
