2009-12-11 First loss to Dolphins, Keizarmezs still winless

Team Zemgale lost first three games this season, however then they managed to win two games in a row. Now they have increased their winning streak to four games as they managed to add two more victories during this week. At the same time Dolphins increased their winning streak to six games at the beginning of the week but lost the first game at the end of the week. Keizarmezs is still the only team playing without any victory, however Rudupis now is the only team that has not felt the taste of the loss. But now let’s get down to the group standings and the results.


In group A Valga/CKE Inkasso lost to Juventus with the result 59:85. For the Estonians Aab was the best scorer with 22 points but for the Lithuanians Morkeliunas made 14 points. Dolphins earned their sixth consecutive victory over Techasas 104:94. As usual Gervin was the best for Dolphins scoring 20 points. At the same time Streikus with 26 points was the best one for team Techasas. In the next game in this group Sakalai outcompeted Valga/CKE Inkasso with the result 83:44. Samenas and Sirvydis both scored 17 points for the winners while Kikerpill scored 18 for the side of the Estonians. In the last game of this group Juventus was able to beat the current leaders Dolphins – 95:86. Elvikis scored 18 and Mcnaull 19 points for Juventus and Dolphins respectively. In this group Dolphins are without doubt in the first place followed by the same Juventus. Sakalai with three wins are the third but Techasas with two wins take the fourth place. Valga/CKE Inkasso currently are the underdogs in this group with just one victory.


In group B Tallinna Kalev won Aisciai 81:79. The best players were Reed with 21 and Kurtinaitis with 28 points for Kalev and Aisciai respectively. Further on Zemgale beat Alytus 96:84 as Bergmanis scored 18 points for the winners but Kleiza 23 points for the losers. Next on this week Aisciai lost to Zemgale with the result 76:80. Valukonis with 19 points was the best guy on the field for Aisciai but E.Krumins with 25 points was top scorer for Zemgale. In the final game of this group Perlas won Tallinna Kalev 85:82. Kelys scored 35 points for Perlas side but Reed 25 points for the Estonians. In this group the situation is the toughest as three teams have earned four victories and have taken the first three spots. These teams are Tallinna Kalev, Zemgale and Perlas. However, Alytus and Aisciai have taken the fourth and fifth places.


In group C Keizarmezs lost Rudupis 63:92. Silavs scored 21 point for Latvians but Sakinis with 18 points was the best player for Rudupis. In the second game Neptunas won TTU with the result 98:95. Bitinas collected 21 point for the side of Neptunas but Pokla scored 22 for the side of TTU. In other games TTU earned victory against Suduva 95:81. Again Pokla was the top scorer for TTU with 19 points but Ruikis with 26 was the best for the side of Suduva. During this week TTU played the third game as well and this time they lost to Rudupis 77:65. Vileita scored 14 points for the winners but Toome scored 17 points for the losers. In the final game of this week in group C Keizarmezs lost their seventh game as they were beaten by Neptunas 75:82. Silavs collected 21 point for the Latvians but Kurauskas collected 25 points for the Lithuanians. In group C there is a clear leader – Rudupis with no losses. They are followed by TTU and Neptunas with four wins. The fourth team is Suduva with two victories. And finally Keizarmezs with no victories are fifth.
