During the last week Zemgale – a team which had not won a game yet this season in Challenge Cup – won two games and now in Group B the situation looks the toughest. Besides Zemgale won two leading teams from this group. Additionally in Group B there is not one clear leader neither there is one particular underdog. So, let’s have a recap on all the games in all the groups.

In Group A Dolphins beat Sakalai in the home game with the result 101:87. Gervin collected 24 points for the Swedish team but Sirvydis 31 point for the Lithuanian team. In the next game of Group A Juventus outperformed Techasas with the result 95:76. The best scorers in both teams were Mineikis and Lukosevicius for Juventus and Techasas respectively. In the third game of this group Sakalai earned a tough win as they outcompeted Techasas. Sakalai ensured the win only in the final quarter of the game. Jurgo was the best scorer for Sakalai as he collected 25 points. At the same time Volkus and Cerneckis both scored 14 for Tachasas. In the final game of group A the hosts Valga/CKE Inkasso lost to Dolphins who remained perfect after five games. The result of the game was 82:88. The best scorers for Estonians and Swedes were Aab and Kjellbom with 24 points respectively.

In Group B the hosts Aisciai could not hold a home victory against Alytus as they lost 79:84. Lipkevicius was the best scorer for Aisciai but Kleiza was the best scorer for the winners Alytus. In other game of this group Zemgale earned their first victory in the season as they won team Perlas. Gulbis and E.Krumins both scored 18 for Zemgale. However Kelys collected 20 points for Perlas. It was not long to wait until Zemgale earned their second win of the season as they collected a victory on the road against the leaders of group B – Tallinna Kalev 91:94. Covington scored 18 for the Estonians but for team Zemgale E.Krumins collected 24 points. In the last game of this group Perlas got a tough victory against the rivals Alytus 75:70. Staniulis for Perlas earned 17 points but on the other side of the field Kazevicius scored 30 points.

In Group C Rudupis was a little bit better than Suduva as they ensured a victory 95:89. Sakinis scored 26 for the winners but Kieza 27 for the losing team. Next on in this group Neptunas celebrated a victory against team Suduva 85:70. In both teams the best scorers collected 19 points. For team Neptunas it was Galdikas but for Suduva Rashaun. Further on Keizarmezs lost one more game and they are still the only team in Challenge Cup that has not felt the taste of the victory. This time they lost to TTU with the result 54:65. Berkis for Keizarmezs scored 20 but Tamm for TTU 15 points.
