SIAULIAI, Lithuania – Rashaun Broadus and Denzel Bowles have extended Siauliai's unbeaten run to seven games with the Lithuanian club defeating Triumph 101-94 on Thursday evening.
Triumph offered Siauliai one of their toughest tests to date this season but as they have all season, Antanas Sireika's team rose to the occasion with Broadus contributing 24 points and eight assists while Bowles was as consistent as ever, finishing with 19 points.
Holding a slender one point advantage at the end of a high-scoring opening quarter, Siauliai made their crucial break in the second frame. Trailing by a point with a little over three minutes remaining in the half, Broadus would sink a three-pointer to start a 15-4 run to end the opening half to have the home team well in control.
Kyle Landry would start the Triumph comeback in the third quarter with nine points to have the deficit halved going into the last ten minutes.
The Triumph center would finish with 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists to record an efficiency rating of 32. Teammate Jerry Jefferson would finish with 22 points.
However Triumph would not be able to get any closer to their opponents as cool heads got Siauliai home, winning the game from the charity stripe.
Siauliai's record now stands at an impressive six and zero while Triumph's record drops to four and two.
