SIAULIAI, Lithuania – Kedainiai/Triobet have denied hosts Siauliai the opportunity to go atop the BBL standings in stunning fashion on Tuesday night, overcoming a late 13-point deficit to take the game 105-99 in overtime.

Vytenis Jasikevicius was the key instigator, scoring eight points on a 15-2 run to see Kedainiai/Triobet fight back and unexpectedly to defeat their hosts who would have gone to the top of the BBL standings alongside Kalev/Cramo had they collected the two points up for grabs on Tuesday.

Jasikevicius ended the game with 23 points,

After trailing guests Kedainiai/Triobet by nine points at the end of the opening frame, Siauliai would explode to life in the second quarter, going on a 12-0 scoring spree midway through the frame before taking the lead for the first time in the game on a Cameron Long three-pointer less than a minute out from the half.

Long went on to finish with a team-high 31 points whilst perhaps the performance that was turning heads of most was that of Julius Jucikas.

In only his fourth BBL start for Siauliai, the 22-year-old forward would have already surpassed his season-high 11 points by halftime, picking up 12 points in the first 20 minutes before going on to end the night with 21 points on eight-for-15 shooting.

It was a lead that Siauliai would not relinquish again until the final seven seconds of regular time when Jasikevicius sunk a three-pointer to complete a 15-2 onslaught in the final three minutes of of the fourth quarter to tie scores at 86 and force the game into overtime.

With less than three minutes to play it looked as if Siauliai already had the win secured but with Jasikevicius hitting twice from long-range and David McClure also adding a late three-pointer the home fans were silenced.

Siauliai would not overcome the shock of the late onslaught and overtime would subsequently belong to Jusikevicius and Kedainiai/Triobet who held on to win 105-99.
