The Baltic Basketball League will once more return to Tartu, Estonia for the BBL Cup – the two-day tournament which officially welcomes in a new season of BBL basketball. In recognition of Dorpat Hotel’s continued support of the tournament, the BBL Cup this season will be officially known as the “BBL Dorpat Hotel Cup 2011”. BC University of Tartu will also once more be supporting the Cup, seeing it being held in their Sports Centre on September 24 and 25. As in previous year four teams will compete in the BBL Dorpat Hotel Cup 2011 with Saturday’s games doubling as virtual semifinals with the two winners going on to meet each other on Sunday as 19:45 while the two losers will fight it out for 3rd spot at 17:10. In the semifinals BC University of Tartu will play against fellow Estonian team BC Kalev/Cramo at 18:30 while BC VEF Riga will compete with Lithuanian club BC Rudupis at 21:00. For those who can not make it to Tartu for the tournament, they can still enjoy the tournament live on Viasat Sport Baltic who will broadcast all matches. |
